Cuando parecía que todo dentro del panorama musical español estaba ya inventado, aparece Muñeco, que caían en mis manos cual regalo de Navidad totalmente inesperado y, que sin ningún tipo de contemplaciones, conquistaron mis oídos. Desde finales del 2012, que lanzaron su primer EP con 6 canciones, hasta el momento, han ido sumando un montón de reconocimientos por parte de la crítica y de público, en mi opinión, más que merecidos; sólo hay que escuchar su música darse cuenta de la excelente calidad. En pocos meses consiguen situarse en el Top 10 de Mondosonoro y como la 4ª mejor autoedición del 2012 y, por si fuera poco, se erigen como una de las bandas ganadoras del Make Noise de Converse.
Muñeco se mueven como pez en el agua entre la psicodelia más seductora, el post-rock electrónico y hasta el post-punk más contundente y oscuro, una combinación mágica de sonidos, provenientes en gran medida de las influencias que ellos mismos han tenido a nivel musical a lo largo de su vida. El resultado es una fórmula de calidad que funciona perfectamente, control total de su propio sonido y del ritmo; una música que te mueve, impulsiva-compulsiva en muchos momentos y que hipnotiza también, en muchos otros.
En definitiva, detrás de cada tema, uno intuye que hay un trabajo de muchas horas, diría que hasta de precisión musical, y que está hecho por chicos que dominan sin problemas su oficio de una manera muy notable. El 2 de marzo podremos verlos en directo en Barcelona, en el Make Noise Festival, una oportunidad para acabar de quedar atrapada en su espiral de sonido y no salir de ella ¡nunca más! -Maribel Alcántara (Barcelona)

When it seemed that everything on the Spanish music scene had already been invented, along came Muñeco; falling into my hands like a totally unexpected Christmas present and going on, without the slightest pause for thought, to conquer my ears. In late 2012 they released their first EP with six songs, and since then they have been amassing a great deal of recognition from both the media and the public, which is, in my humble opinion, completely deserved; you only have to listen their music to realise how excellent the quality of their work is. Within just a few months they were placed in the Top 10 of Mondosonoro; recognised as the 4th best desktop publishing groups in 2012; and last but not least, they currently hold the title of being one of the winners of the Converse Make Noise band contest.
Muñeco moves like a fish in water between the most seductive psychedelic post-rock to electronic and post-punk; stronger and darker, a magical combination of sounds coming mainly from the influences that they have had throughout their lives. The result is a combination that works perfectly - complete control of their own sound and rhythm, music that truly moves you, impulsive-compulsive at moments, and totally mesmerizing in others.
In short, behind each song, you can feel that there is the work of many hours worth of production. I would say as well, filled with so much musical precision, it has to have been made by guys who have mastered their profession in a very remarkable way. On March 2nd, you can see them live in Barcelona at the Make Noise Festival, a great chance to finally get trapped within their spiralling sounds, to not ever leave again!
